Cold

Cold is one of the six exogenous evils. It is the predominant qi of winter; it can occur in other seasons but not as severely. Pathogenic cold can invade the body from exposure to cold, insufficient clothing, being caught in the rain and wading in cold water.

In cold weather a good rule is to light your fire first before doing anything else. It is always more sensible to keep yourself warm rather than trying to thaw yourself out later.
